Social Inclusion Project (Falkirk)

Currently Closed

The Social Inclusion Project (SIP) provides holistic support to individuals affected by substance use and a wide range of social issues. The SIP takes a multi-disciplinary approach working closely with agencies including Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Local Authority Housing teams/Social Work, Substance Use Service and other partners across the third sector.

The aim of SIP is to take the whole person approach to support, assisting individuals with substance use to engage with appropriate services and to reduce instances of anti-social behaviour. The SIP supports service users to address housing and financial issues as well as encouraging engagement with services to address their physical/mental health. The SIP works closely with service users to encourage and promote confidence in their own lives.

Each person must be referred from a partner agency and have substance use issues, criminality or police vulnerable person concerns with antisocial behaviour issues, housing issues and/or mental health concerns.

Engagement is voluntary for adults aged 16 years and over who reside in the Falkirk District area.

The only exclusion is being on any Justice Order.
